SOLD! My 1966 F100 to Streetside Classics

Image
I sold my project to Streetside Classics, Tampa FL this year. I decided that I wanted a Jeep to drive on the beach here in Florida so i had to let it go. It has been a nice experience from the paint and body to the wiring that I had to figure out. I wish the guy in Spartanburg SC could have seen it finished. So if you hear about a guy talk about his blue 1966 F100 that had to get rid of this may have been it.

Fauxtina Paint Job

Image
I have been wanting to do a patina paint job so I decided to go for it. I used two cans of Rustoleum Black for a base and Rustoleum  Linear green in the new select a spray cap.    Sanded and taped off the truck. I used rope to lift the window rubbers to tape a clean line and get paint behind the rubber.  Painted Black and then green leaving the sun worn areas very light. On to sanding to great the patina. Not for everyone , you either love it or hate it !
