Vintage Air Installation Part 2

 Vintage Air Installation Part 2

I am moving forward with the Vintage Air install. Primarily getting the heat to work since it is January and it would be great to get this truck on the road in 2021 .  It has been a long time since buying this in November 20, 2013.
I added the defrost ducting as well as the three dash vents and placed the unit under the dash.
Looking over the directions again I got the temporary controller set up. I used a piece of ABS I has left over from the roof interior.

Hoses all crimped and ready for some heat.

The Vintage Air Compac II came with the generic defroster ducts. Unfortunately, F100's have a round duct. Since the original ducting was rotten, I removed the fiber ducting from the rubber duct/dash fitting.  Looking for way to attach the ring I opted for plumbing parts. I used a 2 1/2 to 1 1/2 adapter and a short piece of 1 1/2 " pipe.
   I painted the inside Black.

The fitting was the perfect fit.

I needed a way to secure the rubber so I used some aluminum rivets.Which took up virtually no additional room providing an easy install down from the dash.

Trusty zip ties secured the defroster hose.

Ready to add the grills.
